This morning M-S and I made our way to Lincolnville to hike up a snowy Bald-Rock Mountain.
Be sure to click on the pictures to make them bigger.
It was a very pretty hike.
The views from the top were outstanding.
When we got home we made a brunch together. I made the bloodys:
M-S made an andouille - potato hash:
It was very good. We walked Baxter before the hike, so we've taken great advantage of of nice spring day in Maine. Life is good.

Birthday Dinner
Last night as part of this nonstop celebratory weekend we met up with the Hargrove's for dinner at Long Grain Restaurant in Camden. The company was great and the food was delicious. M-S and I shared a coconut soup to start:
Our entrees were amazing. I had ramen and M-S had Thai basil wide noodles:
The ramen had the most delicious kimchi I've ever tasted.
As part of a birthday gift to me Caira made Irish muffins, which we enjoyed this morning. They were outstanding. I know they look like English muffins - but Ciara is Irish, it's St. Patrick's Day weekend, and it's my birthday...so they're Irish. Life is good.

Celebrations Round Two
This morning Linda and Kori came out for a brunch. We started with Irish coffee served in my Mom's glasses:
The whipped cream was infused with an homemade Irish cream from Patty Scully. I made pancakes that were made with Guinness rather than milk:
Again - Patty's cream stole the show. We'll visit some more with Linda and Kori and continue with more celebrating later in the day. Life is good.

The Beginning of a Celebration Weekend
This weekend is going to all about good friends and good food. Last night Linda joined us for a St. Patrick's Day reunion of our Ireland trip. We went to Augusta's newest Irish pub, the Black & Tan:
It was very busy and the clientele last night were lively to say the least:
We had a great time and the food was very good.
This is the Dirty Limrickers:
They were fun and Mrs. Doubtfire plays a mean penny whistle. Look for more posts as Linda is joining us again later today for an Irish brunch, we're having dinner with the Hargroves in Camden tonight, I have brunch with friends in Topsham tomorrow, and we round out the weekend enjoying a bean supper with Dad and Winnie tomorrow night. Life is very good.
