Another Great Trip to NYC

 M-S and I enjoyed another FANTASTIC trip to the Big Apple. I've said it MANY times before - but I really love traveling with my wife. We are perfect partners on the road. I also love taking pictures of food, because its a good way to remember those amazing restaurants and dishes. The highlight of this trip was, of course, seeing Kinky Boots on Broadway. It was awesome - actually much better than I imagined, and I was ready to love it to begin with. Our first meal was sushi, which is always beautiful to look at:

 Sushi Zen has been a landmark in Manhattan for years.  M-S and I really like to eat good food, see a show, and walk around and soak in the people and the city:

 We had lunch at The Modern, which is listed as one of the BEST restaurants in America:

 The presentation of this amazing lunch was gorgeous:

 I lit a candle for my mom at St. Patrick's Cathedral:

 I didn't take pictures of the church because it is covered in scaffolding inside and out. We had dinner before the show at a wonderful Italian place. Classic beauty:

 They had a huge and wonderful exhibit on children's literature. There were hundreds of old books and artifacts - including the original stuffed animals that inspired Winnie-the-Pooh:

We really had a great time - can't wait to get back on the road with M-S soon!

Wicked Weekend

 It was very nice to have a weekend without meetings or work to do, so we made the most of it. I got up early Saturday and took Bax for a long walk.

 I then took advantage of the great weather to clear four trees that bit the dust during the looooooong winter:

 After the yard work M-S and I visited with my father in his new place. He seems really happy there, and I love how he has arranged all of the artwork. We then went to have dinner with Linda & Mark and to see the house he's building. When he's done THAT will warrant its own blog post. Then we met up with some folks for a drink in Hallowell:

 I had to get a picture with Shane - the man who replaced me at Maranacook 16 years ago - because he is somewhat famous for his "Belushi style" eyebrow tilt:

 Today M-S and I went to Cambridge to hang out with Chris and Lo. We had brunch here:

 And then we hung out in Harvard Yard:

 And walked back to Chris' neighborhood and checked out some stores:

 We ended our visit at Chris' go-to Irish pub:

 Chris and Lo are a lot of fun and we love hanging out with them.

Its been a fun weekend, and we are back to the normal grind tomorrow. M-S is helping her parents out a little, I'll be back to work and then dealing with Baxter when the furnace guy comes in the afternoon. Life is good.
