Today Mira-Su and I have been married for fifteen years. This is going to sound exceptionally cliche...but every year with her seems better than the last. We spent the night in Portland last weekend to mark the occasion and we had a blast. Here are some highlights:
This was the view from our hotel room. We had a great time late in the evening and early in the morning just sitting together in from of the window and talking. We also had a wonderful time walking around the Old Port. And I got to try this drink:
The Pickle Dickle from Central Provisions. A shot of whiskey followed immediately by a shot of pickle juice. It was really good. Something happens to the pickle juice because of the whiskey still on your palate. Delicious. We had dinner at Bao Bao. http://www.baobaodumplinghouse.com/
We shared four different dumplings and they were all outstanding. We strolled around and watched people in Congress Square engaging in 'Salsa Night"
We ended the evening at the Top of the East with a great view and more talking and fun. In the morning we took a long walk, had coffee in the room, and then tried this place for brunch:

I like this picture of me at brunch because I look like a man who is nothing less than content. And I am. My wife and I continue to "perpetually date" and I couldn't be happier. We have trips to Boston and DC coming up this fall and I'm already looking forward to both. And I'm sure we'll continue to have adventurous day trips concocted at the last minute from time to time. The fact is that there is absolutely no one with whom I'd rather spend time with than my wife. Happy anniversary. I love you. Life is very good.
