Home for the Holidays

Its really starting to feel like Christmas as loved ones begin coming home. Chris took his last final yesterday, and Suzanne arrived late Wednesday night. We all enjoyed a fine lentil soup last night, which I spruced up with some okra. (I wonder how many pictures of my table are posted on this blog?) The third picture is of M-S opening a gift that Murph brought for Burt - a holiday blanket for one of his beds, which he seemed to like right away. Sarah will be home next Thursday, and we can't wait for Jim, Daryl, and Grant to make their way back for a snow-covered Maine Christmas.

you totally read my mind with this blog . . .before even reading the text, I was going to comment that you should have a "greatest hits" sort of picture spread of photos around your table. Each one of them is one to treasure. On a related note, I would wager that M-S is a great person to be with around the holidays--I've never seen a picture of her where she doesnt exude calmness. She has a very "peaceful" countenance in each picture I've seen of her. Have a great weekend with your family
